Cities under the UNESCO protection
Full-day Tour
A relaxing ride through the picturesque Makarska and Omiš Riviera, past the ancient Salona, will bring us to Trogir – a town included in the UNESCO’s World Cultural Heritage List, built on site of the ancient Greek settlement - Tragurion. The town, surrounded by medieval walls, has many buildings that testify to its rich history.
Our second stop is the biggest city and port in Dalmatia today – the town of Split, built 1700 years ago on the Marjan Peninsula. We will walk down the narrow streets of the Diocletian’s Palace from the 4th century, stroll through its excellently preserved basement galleries and visit the old Temple of Jupiter in the central, ancient Peristyle Square, today the city Cathedral and the oldest building of its kind in the world. We will also pass through the famous Golden and Silver Gates and the historical squares to reach the lively city market and Riva, where you can spend your free afternoon enjoying yourselves strolling or shopping.
